Is Science Fiction Obsolete
It appears to be, at least according to Discover Magazine. Read the article here. I can't say that the author seems to know what he's talking about. . .

"If one truly has something to say, seems to be the consensus, then why not just come out and say it? If your goal is to persuade and be believed about the truth of a particular point, then what would possess you to choose to work in a genre whose very name, fiction, explicitly warns the reader not to believe a word she reads?"
Maybe because they're STORIES. And stories are, first and foremost, about entertainment, not preaching. Please tell me that guy doesn't write fiction. I would hate to be subjected to it.
