A dubious source of inspiration. . .;-)

Last spring, I received a few emails from Pat, Rick, and Thomas, Hotlist fans hoping to put together their own SFF sandbox. Nothing special about that, as Pat's Fantasy Hotlist inspired more than a few bloggers out there, and people like Graeme, Robert, Aidan, and others all got in touch with me to ask for some advice when they started out.

Never heard back from them until this morning, when they sent me a message to let me know that their blog had been created and things were looking up. To my surprise, they elected to forgo the immensely lucrative field of SFF book-reviewing for another online venture. One that was supposedly inspired by my raving about the beauty of those Polish girls last summer!

I laughed out loud when I clicked on the link they supplied and found myself at Dream Girlzzz: A site dedicated to the beauty of the female body. You can see it here: www.dreamgirlzzz.blogspot.com.

The guys (there are now six of them, apparently) went on to thank me for running such a cool blog, and said they hoped to live up to the quality of the Hotlist.

Well, all I can say is, "Best of luck to you guys!" You probably won't get free books and ARCs, but I get the feeling that you will make a lot more money than any of us poor SFF bloggers!

Ah, what a source of inspiration I'm turning out to be. . .:-)

After checking out that site, it occurs to me that there isn't enough talk about MILFs on the Hotlist!

Just a thought...

Emmm, did someone hack this blog? I mean that's just two clicks away from content minors should not see...

Oh Pat, you do this on purpose eh? Like riling up your readers? Can't wait for the comments on this one! :-D

Oh no...two clicks!?!?!
Won't someone please think of the children??? < /Mrs. Lovejoy>

Anyways, good to see that pat's influence spreads beyond the walls of Spec Fiction. Good going, my friend!

I don't have a problem with looking at naked chicks at all, I'm male after all.

But I didn't expect to see this kind of bullshit on a blog like, lots of respect lost.

That's what you said in an interview a year ago :

As for the name, I know that Pat's Fantasy Hotlist sounds a lot like a porn-related site. This goes to prove that you should never try to come up with stuff like that late at night. But it was the best I could do on such short notice! Having said that, I feel bad for the sexually deprived men of all ages who end up on my blog everyday, courtesy of Google and other search engines, while looking for some naughty stuff! Man, it must be so damn disappointing to realize that I'm reviewing books!;-) Ah well, what can you do!?!

Well, the sexually deprived men are happy now. All good things come to those who wait... ;)

Some people who visit this blog have no sense of humor...

It's a shame, really.

Yo Pat!

Yeah, we kind of realized that creating another SFF book blog would be kind of pointless, what with the countless blogs doing that out there. And it sort of dawned upon us that we could never hope to do this as well as you do. So we knew that we had to come up with something else.

Thomas and I followed your European adventures a bit more than the others, and one day he said that we should think about doing something about beautiful girls. The idea quickly took off and here we are!

Dream Girlzzz is still under construction and we are trying to put a few things together, so this is just the start.

A big thank you for your advice, Pat,as we didn't have a fucking clue as to what to do and where to begin. Especially on how to contact marketing folks and all that shit: We basically cut and pasted the sample you sent Rick and made a few changes because we were contacting adult entertainment people and not publishing folks.

We'll do our best to make you proud!:p

LOL, there are already so many SFF blogs out there, so let's start a 'porn' blog instead. You don't see many of those around. :)
