I finished this one earlier today. The year is young, but Kay's latest could well be the best speculative fiction read of 2016!

    Glad to learn it's another great book by GGK! Where would you rank this one compared to the other GGK titles?

    I consider TIGANA and UNDER HEAVEN to be Kay's best works, followed closely by THE LIONS OF AL-RASSAN and RIVER OF STARS.

    I'd put CHILDREN OF EARTH AND SKY in the second tier, on par with the Sarantine Mosaic novels.

    So yes, it's pretty damn good!
