Look what the cat dragged in. . . =)

MWAHAHAHA!!!

Just got home from work and look what was waiting for me on my doorstep!! =)The final Malazan installment, Ian Cameron Esslemont's Assail!! For more info about this title: Canada, USA, Europe.

Unfortunately for Malazan fans following the Hotlist, Erikson and Esslemont's editor at Transworld personally requested that I hold off my review until just before the pub date. This has never happened, not even for The Crippled God. Don't know if it's because there are major spoilers, but the long and the short of it is that I won't be able to provide an advance review the way I did with every Malazan book since Reaper's Gale.

Sucks to be you, I guess. . . :P But I'll keep you posted as I read along on the forums at malazanempire.com!

I did enjoy all of the Malazan books, but this is the book I was waiting to read ever since the end of Memories of Ice.

BETTER NOT DISAPPOINT!

While I don't enjoy Esslemont's writing style nearly as much as Erikson's I will read this "because Assail"

It's not like there's a dearth of other good books to read in the meantime. Reading stuff early is pretty useless as far as I'm concerned. Sure I'll read the reviews, but I'm so far from being jealous of people with ARCs of anything...I'll get the book when it's published.

Orb Scepter Throne is still waiting on my shelf, and I only buy these Malazan books in MMPB anyways, so even longer to wait. Like I said, lots of other stuff to keep me busy.

Can't wait to read this.

Not the biggest fan of the author but this is the book Malazan fans have been waiting for.

Hopefully this will be a fitting end to the series.

Hopefully.
