I reviewed Renegade's Magic when it was released in the UK last June. For those of you who are about to buy the North American edition, here's a link to the book review. For my money, it's the best volume in this trilogy!

This may be the first trilogy I will blatantly and actively avoid reading the last book. I was so frustrated and disappointed in Forest Mage.
The story really picks up in the third volume, so I think you should give it a try.:-)
