Holy shit, I'm so there! November 25th at the Bell Center!
If it's half as good as Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings Symphony of a few years back, it will be worth every penny. A pity John Williams is not the conductor. . .
Check out your local listings to see if the tour stops in your city.
I went to the 11/7 show in Charlotte, NC. It was a great show. I thought it was a little front-loaded though (better pieces early on), but a nice reprise as the encore.
Hope the Bell Center is a better venue for the exhibits than Bobcats arena. The lobby was too small so you really couldn't navigate through all the exhibits.
I just attended the show in Norfolk, VA this weekend and enjoyed ourselves greatly. The exibits were interesting, but there were too many people in a confined space. The 501st was there doing a lot of photo opportunities.
Anthony Daniels did a great job as the narrator. There were times where you had to remind yourself that the music was live and not a CD recording.
My only complaint was sometimes the video had to many audio clips and it was taking me away from the music. The best pieces were the ones with no audio (The Asteroid theme in particular).
These shows are definitely a hit with me. I saw one concert recently that was sci-fi themed in general, no movie footage playing but hosted by George Takei (Sulu from Star Trek) with the 501st in the lobby, and that was way worthwhile.
