As you know, along with a few of my former wotmania.com colleagues, I will soon be interviewing Brandon Sanderson, author of The Gathering Storm (Canada, USA, Europe). So if there is a question you're dying to ask him, feel free to post it in the comment section. The best questions, provided there are any that can be asked without receiving a RAFO answer, will be selected to be part of the Q&A.

How has writing TWoT influenced your writing, or rather, re-writing of your Way of Kings series?
Have you considered changing a scene or passage that Jordan wrote/envisioned because it didn't fit with the rest of the stuff you wrote?
Okay, this has been bugging me.
In the latest novel, Gareth Bryne and Rodel Ituralde are revealed to be blademasters. Personally, I found this very jarring -- especially in Bryne's case, after having him present or at least mentioned in almost every novel -- but I can grasp the reasoning behind it.
That said, was that particular detail about those characters from RJ's notes?
On your website forum in the past a list of previous novels, future novels and dates were given for all of your projects I was wondering if we could get an update to that list that will include Way of Kings and WOT?
Will Gawyn's uppance come?
In which volume will Asmodean's killer be revealed?
1) do you intend to bring all the story lines to a resloution ?
2) is the story going to continute to be focused in the wetlands ? (no aiel waste, shara, seanchan)
3) is the ending a ... new begining for an open world ? (although I guess maybe sanderson is not the one to answer that).
4) how much has RJ impacted the last three books ? is the whole story going to be his, except for the details and the managing of it, or is sanderson free to change what he wants within certain limits ?
5) is sanderson going to retroactively change facts that have been (to some) problematic ?
6) was I supposed to ask just 1 question ?
Do you use the Internet for research during the writing process? Also, do you let comments and reviews influence you on future projects?
Thanks!
-Todd
1. You mentioned that you hoped to have a completed draft of Towers of Midnight by January 2010 for a release in the fall, yet your site still has it listed at only 70% complete. Is Fall 2010 still a realistic tentative release date?
2. It has been reported that you said the ta'veren and the other main characters for the Light will converge before the start of the Last Battle, presumably but not necessarily at the end of Towers of Midnight. Can you confirm that you did in fact say that?
3. Robert Jordan stated in an interview that he had no plans to set any scenes in Seanchan or Shara. Is this still the plan, or did he change his mind at some point before his passing?
4. We know that Robert Jordan had a trilogy of outriggers in mind. Given that the books were to be set after the Last Battle, wouldn't it be technically impossible for the Light to come out on the losing end?
Thanks!
Do you feel that you have done complete justice in all the Characters you have done so far? And how hard has it been to put yourself in RJ's mind? BTW good job, on the book, actually read every page, no skimming!
I second the fourth question Anonymous asked:
"4. We know that Robert Jordan had a trilogy of outriggers in mind. Given that the books were to be set after the Last Battle, wouldn't it be technically impossible for the Light to come out on the losing end?"
I'd really like an answer to that.
Curious to know if the rumors of a potential Mistborn sequel are indeed true?
Also, any plans to expand on the world of Elantris?
Please prevail upon your publisher/agent to release Mistborn in ePub or eReader format. Currently only available in Mobipocket format...
Along with what Ron mentioned ... Does Sanderson even know who did in Asmo (it being so obvious and all)? If so, will it be revealed to us dummies?
After Rand's "Cleansing" on Dragonmount, will we see the wounds in his side begin to heal?
I'd like to know what it's like for him to try to live up to the unrealistic expectations of Jordan's readers? Even the ones that were getting irritated by the length and long-windedness of the series came "back to fold" after RJ's death. What is that pressure like?
2 WoT world questions that I'd really like an answer to:
1. How do people learn to weave the opposite half of OP when leading a mixed circle? Do they suddenly see the weaves of the opposite half? Does everybody in a mixed circle see them? Does it take longer to learn the opposite weaves (it should)?
2. Did something make Travelling impossible for a few centuries during the Breaking? Is this why the madmen were advancing on Paaran Disen on foot? Is this the reason for female Travelling getting forgotten?
Despite even weak channelers being able to learn the weave and to use it in a circle or with an angreal?
