Sadly, I was forced to turn down many offers I would otherwise have been glad to accept. And I feel that the absence of interviews in the last couple of months took something away from the Hotlist.
Now that things have settled down a bit, with the help of a few other bloggers I'll be interviewing a number of authors before the year is out. So you can expect Q&As with Robin Hobb, author of The Dragon Keeper (Canada, USA, Europe), Steven Erikson, author of Dust of Dreams (Canada, USA, Europe) and the 10th anniversary edition of Gardens of the Moon (Canada, USA, Europe), Joe Abercrombie, author of Best Served Cold (Canada, USA, Europe), Brandon Sanderson, author of The Gathering Storm (Canada, USA, Europe),and Mark Charan Newton, author of Nights of Villjamur (Canada, USA, Europe), in the near future.
I've extended the invitation to writers such as R. Scott Bakker, Scott Lynch, and a few others as well, but I've yet to receive word from them. . .

Yay!
Yeah, I've definitely noticed the lack of interviews and did wonder if anything was happening behind the scenes so thanks for clearing that up and cant wait for the new stuff.
No invitation to Goodkind then, huh Pat? ;)
That's great news Pat! Keep up the good work :)
Thank you, Pat! The interviews are the best part of an already-excellent site.
Hope you can get those Bakker and Lynch reviews, too.
I hope you manage to snatch away Scott Lynch! Good luck about that! :P
(But I'll be happy to read all the other interviews as well :) )
Geez why don't you actually interview some good authors people are familiar with... :p
Seriously though, you've scored some kickass interviews!
Sweet, cant wait to hear from Erikson.
Oh, looking forward to those! :D
This will be great to hear from these authors, especially excited for the Steven Erikson interview.
