Jackpot contest winner!

A week or so before Christmas, I made the announcement for a giveaway whose prize pack was comprised of 85 books. I was moving into a new apartment and I needed to make room in my collection.

Alas, the new flat isn't as big as my previous loft, so I was forced to add even more SFF titles to the prize pack. I haven't been keeping track, but I figure that the winner will receive between 150 and 200 speculative fiction novels. Not bad, if I may say so myself!

The winner is:

- Véronique Marchand, from Montréal, Québec, Canada (Morrigan on asoiaf.westeros.org)

Many thanks to all the participants! ;-)

Handy that the large prize winners al always local ain't it. Imagine the postage otherwise.

In future please just ask your neighbours if they want any books as letting people over 5 miles away believe they are in with a chance is appaling.

Anon: The original post did say that it was meant for people from the Montreal area or for those willing to pay for shipping.

Don't know why you are so anal about it...

The same thing happened the last huge giveaway where he stated the exact same thing as he did this time which was "winner pays postage if they can't pick it up in Montreal"
Someone made a snarky comment about the winner being from Montreal. Ya know the guy is nice enough to give all these books away so give him a break a**hole and keep your sarcastic comments to yourself!

Actually, the original post doesn't say anything about it being specifically for people in Montreal. All it says is that if you win and you don't live around there that you'd have to pay the large amount for shipping fees. It would probably be a couple hundred dollars, but many people would happily pay it for so many books. To just give it to people from Montreal is a disservice to all the other people who entered and would have paid the shipping.
