I knew it was coming and the latest Google Home update made my 1st generation Chromecast obsolete. The app no longer detects it, even after I removed it from the device list and went through the factory reset.
In need of something new because watching TV on your phone is not for me, yesterday I ordered the latest version of the Amazon Fire TV Stick HD for only 22.99$ instead of 69.99$! I saw that, as part of the early Prime Days deals, several Amazon devices are also on sale.
Follow this Amazon Associate link to find out more about this sale. =)
