Riga, Latvia (July 2008)

Beautiful Art Nouveau architecture, some of the most beautiful women in the world, cheap beer, affordable food, cool nightlife, plenty of see and do -- Riga is one of those cities that has it all! And Latvia has more to offer! Definitely a country I'll be revisiting, hopefully in the near future!

And for those of you who have been clamoring about it, yes this album contains a few gals from the Jurmala beaches and Club Essential!:p

You can peruse the album by clicking on this link.

OK Pat, enough is enough. This is more or less a serious blog about fantasy literature and I've respected your opinions for a long time, but I can't take any more comments/photos about the women in the countries you visited. You sound like a juvenile high on hormones. Did the women on the beach give you permission to take those photos of them in their bathing suits? You could be arrested in some places for taking such pictures. You're really offending me and certainly other women viewers. I've lost respect for you and I don't think I'll be visiting this site any more.

Way to go Ms Anonymous! Don't you just love it that when people have something to say that they really feel is important they can be as anonymous as they please?

I'd like to see you try and take photos like those on a beach here in Oz! You'd be arrested in an instant and probably bashed in the micro-instant before that. You're a pervert Pat - but then you already knew that.

If people don't like it then they can stay or leave as they please. I think you're a dodgy bastard for taking those photos but I still like the site so will stick around.

For fuck's sake, what's wrong with you anonymous??? I clicked on this link expecting Pat's Fantasy Hotlist swimsuit issue or something like that.

If a few pics (most have to do with buildings in Riga) at the beach offend you so much that you don't want to come back, I think you need counselling...

Arrested???? What the fuck??? You should see some of the pics me and my friends took when we were in Mexico and the Dominican Republic!:-p

Man, I was expecting something really sleazy. I guess some people are prude in a way I'll never quite understand.

I didn't post the anon comments, and I have no problem with pics of hot girls. But I think maybe this stuff should go on a separate blog... I mean does anyone really come here to read about Pat's vacations that they themselves cannot afford. Seems a bit, I don't know, pompous, and certainly off subject. I know this is your blog and you can do what you wish with it, but if the majority of your readers aren't interested in your travels, why shouldn't you listen to them? I mean no offense by this, but it's thee same as telling someone that they have bad breath: there is no nice way to say it.

I followed Pat's European adventures with great interest. I can't afford to travel right now, so it was neat to live vicariously through his travel posts while he was overseas. Now seeing his photos makes me want to go there even more.

I've always come here for the reviews, the interviews, and other SFF stuff. But I love the fact that he's sharing this with us. Those who don't want to see pics can just not click on the links, you know!

Dylan - yep, arrested. Cameras are banned for the most part on Australian beaches 'cause of all the crazy pedophiles we have down here.

LOL

Well Pat I hope you've learnt a valuable lesson from this? :-)

As you posted some names I take it you got into conversation and the girls weren't offended.

Some of the comments border on the "you looking at me" mentality, one wonders where it will all end, everyone looking at the ground, so as not to cause offence?

Strangely enough the last time someone took a picture of me it didn't steal my soul! lol
