Construction ahead. . .

Just wanted to let you guys know that I have someone coming over to change my blog template. So if all goes well, the Hotlist will sport a brand new look very soon.

Things might go awry, however, so please bear with me while the switch goes into effect. And even when the new template will be on, I'm convinced that there will be a few kinks to iron out for some time.

Hopefully we won't encounter too many problems. . .

Make a copy of your sidebar link code before you switch, it saves a lot of trouble.

Oh, and please, no black background esp. not in combination with red or blue script, if possible. It's giving me headaches.

Very Nice, I like it.. :)

Yeah, I really like it too!:-)

Never thought my friend would be able to set everything up so quickly.

Now I just need to work on the blogroll, websites of interest, and other categories to bring everything up to speed.

Looks good Pat, certainly an upgrade from the old 1970's style wallpaper you had previously ;)

I really like the drop down menus in the "Blog Archive" window, but I'm curious as to whether the STAR to designate each new entry should be overlapping the first letter of that entry? At least that's how it looks on my browser (Firefox-mac)? And i see that it doesn't happen in the "Fantasy Blogs of Interest" window. A very minor distraction, that might simply be a missing value in the CSS code.

Anyway, like the new look.
Cheers,

Looking good, Pat! A few layout issues in Frefox though - blog archive section in the sidebar ain't so pretty at the moment...

Throw in perm links to your interviews and reviews, please!

It looks very good.

Very nice, with much greater prominence to the best bit (the blog).

However, that "Blog Archive" looks bad in both IE and Firefox, so it is not a browser issue...

I like the new look! :o) There's a real fantasy vibe to it now... Are you still keeping stuff like the publisher lists etc?

I'll see what I can do about those menus...

Yep, the old menus will all be back. Just need time to add them to the new layout.

That looks very nice.

Easily readable as well.

Hi Pat,

what a surprise! First I thought I clicked on the wrong link.

I really like your new layout.
It creates a fantasy like of medieval atmosphere.

What served as your inspiration though: this blog perhaps: http://scottoden.blogspot.com/ ? ;)

I like it a lot! Not only is it attractive, I can see it! For the past couple of weeks I haven't been able to see any parts of your blog other than the ads.

It's very pretty. I especially like the dates. And ads are unobtrusive.

Glad to see that everyone likes the new layout. I really like it!

Still have a lot of links and categories to add, which will take a few more days before I bring everything up to speed.

Tried everything to make the Blog Archive window work like the rest of the page, but nothing seems to make it look better...:/
