Okay, so this turned up on the intrawebs during my stay in Dubrovnik, the only couple of days of my trip when I had no internet access. And when I reached Kotor, Montenegro, and finally could check my email, I sadly discovered that my cousin had passed away, dying of cancer, while I was out of touch in Dubrovnik. Needless to say, I had other things on my mind than perusing SFF blogs and message boards for a bit. . .
Just found out about this this morning, actually. On Wert's blog, as I'm trying to get back into the swing of things now that I'm back home.
Ah, can't wait to read Ian Cameron Esslemont's Stonewielder! For more info about this title: Canada, USA, Europe.
Here's the publisher's disclaimer:
As promised, attached are an early glimpse of our cover-in-progress for Stonewielder PLUS the first few pages (13 in all I think) of Cam’s new novel. As always, I’d stress that these are uncorrected, might well change and not-to-be reproduced without permission etc. All being well, Stonewielder: A Novel of the Malazan Empire by Ian C. Esslemont with be published by Bantam Press hardcover on 25th November 2010.

I'm so sorry to hear that. My condolences to you and your family. It's been a bad week so far, I've heard of two people who have passed away from this horrible disease. I wish you all the best.

Glad your back and sorry to hear about your cousin.
Sorry to hear about your loss, Pat. My condolences.
I'm really sorry for the bad news, Pat.
It seems everyone knows at least one *near* person died of cancer. "Show must goes on", they say, but it's really hard sometimes.
I'm sorry about your loss, Pat.
its amazing how people are obssessed in airing their personal tragedies in public..How about just saying you had personal reasons rather than talk about something very personal to the world.Fuking typical of people nowdays- so cheap and tackyand noway a fitting memory.
