Bloc Voting

Every year when the Hugo awards have been announced, people bitch and moan about how skewed the results always are. A few years back, the last time I actually cared to take part in those heated discussions, some of the Worldcon organizers went on and on about how the Hugo awards were immune to bloc voting, yada yada yada.

Well, this year has demonstrated just how wrong they were. Based on bloc voting, The Wheel of Time in its entirety has been nominated.

Even worse, bigoted author Vox Day, still angry at being kicked out of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, managed to get one of his novellettes nominated for a Hugo award after suggesting on his blog that his fans should vote for his work.

This guys is a real piece of work and you can click on this link if you want to discover just how much of a crazy religious fucktard he truly is.

Somehow, the Hugo awards find a way to lose more credibility every year or so. And 2014 promises to be the worse year yet. . . :/

I had never heard of this guy before, and clicking those links just made my jaw drop. This guy can't be for real. He's a troll. A satirist. Right?

....Right?

Day - what a nice educated and open minded guy. White Power & Associates will be pleased to have him as a member...

A complete mujahideen mentality. This asshole is very much likely to do some of the same shit he actively encourages: raping women, throwing acid on their faces, and so on.

Lock this guy away from decent community :/
