Tor Books has just notified me that Terry Goodkind's new book, Phantom, initially scheduled to be released in March, won't come out until July 2006.
There will be a contest for a free copy of the novel, but unfortunately for the fans, it will have to wait a while. . .

Terry Goodkind, or as I like to call him, Fantasy Kryptonite.
BTW, I've tagged you pat, check out my blog.
qlahnvye!
Wow, I have to wait a few months longer to ignore Badkind's latest Ayn Rand ripoff manifesto ("I am Richard and I am noble. You must follow me because I'm smarter than you, but don't expect me to sacrifice myself for you because you're all stupid and you suck....").
The suspense is killing you, isn't it David? Seems readers would be much better served to pick up something by a new author, perhaps maybe The Amber Wizard?
qmttwmvg!
Yeah, Robb, that would work for me! :-)
What!?! Why no love for my man TG!?! And I was so excited about the possibility to give people a chance to win a novel about the triumph of the human spirit instead of that drivel written by all those fantasy hacks!!!;-)
I'm kidding, of course! There have not been many complaints so far about this book's release being postponed. Other than on TG's message board, that is. He'll probably blame it on Canada, a country no better than Iran and the former USSR. It's not easy being a Canuck, let me tell ya!
Thanks Robb! I did check it out! By the way, I have accepted Dag's offer and I'm now a staffer at sffworld.com. I still don't know exactly what that means, but we have agreed to collaborate on a few projects!
David, I'll get back to you soon concerning your last email. Haven't heard from HC, so I have not put the book review of THE AMBER WIZARD online yet.
And I agree with Robb. Those who were going to buy that Goodkind's book should just pre-order David Forbes' THE AMBER WIZARD from amazon!:-)
I reiterated the question to them about the contest, Patrick, and haven't heard from them either....
I sent you an e-mail about it, but I just got THE HISTORIAN today. Thanks again for running your contests!
you guys are all tools
David, I just dont think that The Amber Wizard book is any better than Goodkinds Wizard's first Rule or any other of his books. Personally I think the hole family feud story is a little played. Also when you have read a history lesson from a characer in a book just to get the idea of the land and history its kinda like watching Bob Ross make a painting, is ok for about 3 minutes then its like your in art class again just waiting for it to end. Also I personally could have done without the idea of using a stone that changes color to test the inherant magical abilites, I mean a mood ring come on. I sure you could have come up with somthing better, maybe not. Either way if your reading audience is 2nd graders then you wont have many people questioning your methods. Good luck with your new series i hope it dosent bomb to badly.
