Winter is coming. . .

That might be the case in Westeros, but in Montreal we are suffering the worst winter in more than 60 years.

As of today, more than 13 feet (4 meters) of snow have fallen since November, and March is known to be a bastard of a month where snowstorms are concerned. Which means that we'll probably continue to beat records.:-(

Wanting to get away from it all, I was supposed to be heading for the beaches of Thailand and Malaysia. But my employer refused to give me that leave of absence, which means that I'm stuck in this white shit that keeps falling from the sky. . .

Snow. I think I saw that once when I went accross the ditch to New Zealand.

You and I could swap places, I hate trying to get to sleep when its over 25 degrees celcius.

That's weak Pat. Snow is awesome but only when you don't have to live with it.

Otherwise I agree with Ben. 25DegC is a sweet upper limit.

I'll third the comments from down here Pat! We are slowly coming out of our hottest summer in 30 years so snow looks somewhat inviting at the moment!

This winter (and the previous one) were very light in Poland. Were - because we have spring for some time now. There was hardly any snow and not even much frost.
Now forsythias are starting to bloom. Today it's sunny and the birds are singing.

Here in Dallas, TX, we're actually supposed to get some snow for the second time this week! In March! It's unheard of. Fortunately the "snow" is nothing like what you have in your pictures. But the ice sure does create problems with traffic...

Aw. Gutted! Totally lame being stuck in it when you hadn't planned to be. Send me some of your snow though, London is freakishly mild today, even at 6am this morning.

And this is why I don't miss living in the snow belt of north-western Pennsylvania anymore.

Feel free to send that snow over to me. I love it and I haven't got any for several years now.

I live in the Fort Worth area, and we have a blizzard going outside, with about 4 inches already accumulated.

I love it! We hardly ever get snow.

Now I need a good book to curl up with...

Holy Christ on a stick, Pat! People in Toronto keep bitching about their weather (I work in a call centre, deal with folks all over Canada and the states), but you guys clearly have it much, much worse.

Although I'll admit I'd rather have cold than heat.. I travelled to Thailand and Cambodia last year, and just existing made you break into a sweat.

Ohio's been having it bad latly too. Last Friday we had a snow storm(6 inches), Tuesday we had an Ice storm, and tomorrow we're to get another snow storm. It's supposed to drop atleast 10 inches, but most likely we're going to get around 18 inches. 0_0, what the Hell!

Being someone who lives in Winnipeg... *grin*

The cold can be miserable, but it's very beautiful.

In Georgia, we close the schools if we get more than an inch of snow. By the way, it was a sunny 60 degrees today.

snow sucks - I read something the otherday abt findings that show that each snowflake has a bacteria that it carries with it - so far all I could see was that it was a disease that kills tomato plants - probably not an issue when its snowing but on the other hand - I always said that snow was evil and now it turns out it's evil and sick.

I'd love to live with that much snow. I relocated to the black forest, hoping I could go skiing at the weekends. Hah, no real snow so far this year. Wanna swap places?
