Some people have been speculating about the possibility for the cover art for Steven Erikson's The Crippled God (Canada, Europe) to make an appearance in the paperback edition of Dust of Dreams (Canada, USA, Europe). Heard back from Simon Taylor, Erikson's editor, and there is no artwork yet. And The Crippled God is now officially going to be released in January 2011.
The good news is that Ian Cameron Esslemont's Stonewielder (Canada, USA, Europe) is being copyedited as I type this, which means that the fall 2010 pub date appears to be a safe bet.
Though it's not supposed to be set in the Malazan universe, there is a reference to Aren steel in "Goats of Glory", one of the short stories comprising Swords & Dark Magic, edited by Lou Anders and Jonathan Strahan (Canada, USA, Europe).
No word yet on the Subterranean Press limited edition of Steven Erikson's Deadhouse Gates. . .

Yeah, I am a little disappointed with the very slow publication schedule of the Malazan Sub Press books, I want the whole set NOW dag nabbit!
I second that thought (Malazan sub press).
I wanted the lettered edition but alas was a poor student with lots of debt at the time and could barely scrape together the money for the numbered edition.
Still great production value on the subpress editions.
what's stonewielder about ?
No one has mentioned this, but I.C. Esslemont is garbage.
