Thanks to the folks at Hachette Book Group, I have five copies of Jacqueline Carey's Saints Astray for you to win! For more info about this title: Canada, USA, Europe.

Here's the blurb:

Fellow orphans, amateur vigilantes, and members of the Santitos, Loup Garron-the fugitive daughter of a genetically engineered "wolf man"-and Pilar Ecchevarria grew up in the military zone of Outpost 12, formerly known as Santa Olivia. But now they're free, and they want to help the rest of the Santitos escape. During a series of escapades, they discover that Miguel, Loup's former sparring partner and reprobate surrogate brother, has escaped from Outpost 12 and is testifying on behalf of its forgotten citizens-at least until he disappears from protective custody. Honor drives Loup to rescue Miguel, even though entering the U.S could mean losing her liberty. Pilar vows to help her.

It will take a daring and absurd caper to extricate Miguel from the mess he's created but Loup is prepared to risk everything... and this time she has help

Wow. Machinery is a jerk. Jacqueline Carey is incredible. Sounds like jealousy to me.

Wow- I'd suggest reading a book before commenting. Jacqueline Carey is phenomenal and Santa Olivia was amazing. Not like any teeny bop "urban fantasy" I've read. Her writing reminds me of Ursula K. Leguin and Octavia Butler. Not sure who they are? Check them out. This writer is definitely in their league.

Amen, Misusedinnocence. I'd prefer Machinery stay as far from JC as possible...wouldn't want his negative ignorance any where near her awesomeness. And watch out for Pabkins...that's a serious continence issue if that's all it takes to inspire a piddle.

machinery obviously doesn't read this novel and shouldn't be posting...

These books read nothing like a vampire-werewolf book at all and has nothing to do with them either. From what I read, it's all about boxing and trying escaping from this place where they are stuck (very bare bones description so I don't provide any spoilers).

This is so much better than sappy vamp-wolf stories.

even people that didn't like my comment couldn't hide their own distaste of "sappy teeny wolfvampire" books.
so read this, have fun while another hot sexy blonde buffy fights the bad guys to save the day.
i guess you love it after all.
