Im half way through the first Bakker trilogy trying to finish so I can read fall of light.
Yes, drop everything else ASAP. It will be worth it. This will be the book of the year.
I asked my brother to bring my books back, I intend to reread all 5 before July 5.

Personally, I would finish Fall of Light, as I am currently, and then get to The Great Ordeal. What a great year for speculative fiction!
Green with envy even though I am in the middle of FoL right now. Can't wait to get my hands on this one.
I would probably still say Malazan is my favorite fantasy series of all-time even with the taint of the last few Esslemont novels but Bakker is right up there neck and neck and Abercrombie is tickling their heels.
Oh should you drop the Erikson and read the Bakker? Finish Erikson, because well its Erikson! Then Bakker. Seriously though how can you go wrong either way. If Bakker is only a few days a way or right this minute, its all gravy!
Never mind. I lied. I've been jonesing HARD for the new Bakker, Read THE GREAT ORDEAL.

I would say nice cover, but I have a book by a different author that uses the same photo/cover model. ;-) Seriously, publishers...come on, don't use the same headshot from another book from the past year.
