Wow. I've always loved Komarck's work.
It kills me that this really doesn't fit into my budget right now.

I'm assuming that this isn't the entire image? Still, it's absolutely awesome. I'm regretting buying the lettered edition less and less everytime I see this man's art!

Terrific.

I remember Steve telling me that as soon as he saw Komarck's work he knew he was the artist to handle the Sub Press version of the novel.

It looks like he's got good instinct, that's an awesome piece of artwork. Can't wait to see the rest.

So awesome! I am literally in awe!

Let's see if I can afford it!

We are ALMOST there.

That's exactly my idea of GOTM cover. The siege at Pale.

Just move the POV down to show more background. And if that's Anomander Rake, the sword is supposed to be bigger, and he is supposed to be on top of that thing in the back.

Almost there.

When I saw the title of your post I misread it as "Passable Cover Art". I was thinking, "wow, Patrick is pretty picky if he thinks that is only passable." I love it.

Awesome indeed! I love it. I would not mind having one of those enlarged as a poster for my office :-0

That's sweet!

Wow! To be honest, I've never considered myself a visual reader, but seeing that cover image I realise how much it resonates with my internal concept of Rake. Rarely can I immediately identify who or what is meant to be depicted in books' pictures, so I'm very impressed.

Yeah, that's pretty badass :) I hope it gets made available as a print. I'd buy one in a second!

Somehow he managed to convey that Anomander is 7ft tall. I'm impressed.

And there's Moon's Spawn and Great Ravens. Makes me want illustrated version of the books.

Fantastic.

Bantam just released their ADWD cover art and it looks, erm, unambitious by comparison (hoping for great things from the inevitable Subterrenean Limited Edition in a year or two though).

awesome...not showing anomander's face is the best thing the artist could do!
