UK cover art for Scott Lynch's THE REPUBLIC OF THIEVES

James at Speculative Horizons unearthed this gorgeous cover art.

Kudos to Gollancz for coming up with such an incredibly beautiful cover for Scott Lynch's forthcoming The Republic of Thieves. For more info about this title: Canada, USA, Europe.

James also came up with a short blurb:

After their adventures on the high seas, Locke and Jean are brought back to earth with a thump. Jean is mourning the loss of his lover and Locke must live with the fallout of crossing the all-powerful magical assassins the Bonds Magi. It is a fall-out that will pit both men against Locke's own long lost love. Sabetha is Locke's childhood sweetheart, the love of Locke's life and now it is time for them to meet again. Employed on different sides of a vicious dispute between factions of the Bonds Sabetha has just one goal - to destroy Locke for ever. The Gentleman Bastard sequence has become a literary sensation in fantasy circles and now, with the third book, Scott Lynch is set to seal that success.

Can't wait to get my hands on this one!

@Todd Yes and Yes. Lynch has turned in the manuscript and both his publishers have indicated a Spring 2011 publication date is set. It seems to be sometime in March on both sides of the pond.

The US cover isn't quite as purty, but this is still my most anticipated title of 2011.

So much better than the cover Amamzon have listed for the UK version. I'm now tempted to buy the US edition.

Looks fantastic. Can't stand the red writing on dark background though, this red/green colour blind guy has major problems with red writing on dark backgrounds. :-(

Looking like Early to Mid 2011 is going to be incredible for me so far. Nice cover! Just got my husband listening to The Lies of Locke Lamora on audiobook, and he's getting into it.
