With the Holidays just around the corner, I invited publishers to come up with special prize packs for the biggest giveaways of the year. In the next couple of days, you'll see similar contests cropping up. The idea is to offer something that everyone will want to win.
The first to step up to the plate was Del Rey/Bantam Spectra, and here's what Santa has in store for the big winner! The prize pack includes:
- George R. R. Martin's
A Game of Thrones 4-book boxed set
- Drew Karpyshyn's
Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan- Terry Brooks'
The High Druid of Shannara trilogy
- China Miéville's
Embassytown- William Gibson and Bruce Sterling's
The Difference Engine (20th Anniversary Edition)
The rules are the same as usual. You need to send an email at reviews@(no-spam)gryphonwood.net with the header "BANTAM." Remember to remove the "no spam" thingy.
Second, your email must contain your full mailing address (that's snail mail!), otherwise your message will be deleted.
Lastly, multiple entries will disqualify whoever sends them. And please include your screen name and the message boards that you frequent using it, if you do hang out on a particular MB.
Good luck to all the participants!

You are such a tool, machinery...
Holy Holiday Giveaway!!!
Thank you for putting this together, and thank you Del Rey/Spectra!!
The Israeli sense of humour, always so succinct.
jebus - how is israel got to do with me being a "tool" ?
i'm unique every where i guess.
some people are afraid of speaking directly ? i'm the exception.
some people kiss ass ?
i'm the exception.
and so forth.
You are simply someone who confuses ridiculous asshattery with courageous dissent.
ludwing van - i had to look up the word asshat.
and it said : "The obnoxious behaviour of an asshat".
kind of wierd to use the same word to describe it, but whatever the meaning is clear.
also wierd that this is the 3rd or 4th time you personaly make comments on me (Ad hominem rings a bell ?) when i make none to you or others, and yet I am the so called "asshat" ??
now try to play the victim.
