Quote of the Day

Even in his dying, he found a way to shit on me.

- TYRION LANNISTER about his father, in George R. R. Martin's A Dance With Dragons (Canada, USA, Europe)

Unless they're considered off-limits, I'll try to come up with a few random quotes like this one to whet your appetite as the release date for ADWD draws closer...

His father died?!?!?!?!

Why showing quotes of new books?
I want to read it myself on the right page in the right book, in my hands. I don't need book trailers or appetizers, at least if they seem to be spoilers (or false trails).
I call for instinctive feeling of the blog author. No censorship but the love for the treasure of books.

Ahhhhhhhhh!
No, you &"@&$""&@"!!!!
You spoilered me!!!

Sorry kiddo, but the one year rule applies to the book it happened in 5 times over.

Ten times over, you mean.

Yes, Tyrion kills his father...

In ASoS, a book that was published 10 years ago...

Yeah, a book that was published ten years ago and has just seen like a 20,000% spike in sales.

Show some goddamn empathy, people. I'd be fucking pissed to have stuff like this ruined for me just because I don't jump on every book within a year of its release.

I don't jump on every book within a year of its release, either. But eleven years later? If a decade isn't enough time for spoilers to expire, then what is?

I'm sure someone out there doesn't know that Gandalf survives the balrog or that Darth Vader is Luke's father, but there are no secrets on the internet. Read at your own risk, especially on fan sites.

Has nothing to do with not reading the books:

"TYRION LANNISTER about his father, in George R. R. Martin's A Dance With Dragons"

So for me it just seems that this is out of a yet to be realeased book (on 12th of July 2011 here), not earlier. And if I don't remember every quote written in the 4 predecessors so I'll be apologized.

In a book that's over a 1,000 pages, you can't find a quote that isn't a spoiler for people who haven't read all the books yet?
