Larry Nolen said...: Of course, although I was teasing, I'm probably one of the very few people reading this who not only had to read Mein Kampf on multiple occasions (for two German History seminars for my BA and MA degrees, not to mention my undergraduate thesis), but also the posthumously-published Hitler's Secret Book. *shudders* It was as if Tairy had taken his drivel, fed it into Babelfish for the German, and then back again for the "translation."

Gabriele Campbell said...: I never made it past the first chapter of Mein Kamp, and I gave up on Wizard's First Rule halfway through the torture scene - I'm certainly not a masochist. ;)

I wrote my papers about the Jews in the Middle Ages and the Republic of Weimar, and for Literature it was French epics and Ibsen. More fun.; 11:47 PM
Larry Nolen said...: True, but I also had to read quite a few of Hitler's speeches (in both translation and in my very rudimentary German) as well, so I'm still scarred from that. All that to present a paper on the questions regarding Hitler's religious identity/evolution.
