The rules are the same as usual. First off, you need to send an email at reviews@(no-spam)gryphonwood.net with the header "SORRY." Remember to remove the "no spam" thingy.
Second, your email must contain your full mailing address (that's snail mail!), otherwise your message will be deleted.
Lastly, multiple entries will disqualify whoever sends them. And please include your screen name and the message boards that you frequent using it, if you do hang out on a particular MB.
Good luck to all the participants!

Could we get a transcript of the foreword?
I have a copy of the book with the new cover, but no foreword.
Hmm does anyone know if all the books will be reprinted this way? Because it would make it soo much easier for me to get the HC set if they get a new printing.
Paperback only, chumly.
Hi,
stupid question: do you ship to Europe too?
thanks!
So far I've seen winners in Europe too, but winning, that's the hard part...
Why "SORRY"? lol
Lol Maurice, exactly.
I'm giving that one a go, though. :)
Hey Pat, I know this goes waaaay back to early 2007, but did you ever get the CS Friedman "Feast of Souls" books from that contest? Just wondering.... it's the only time I was a winner in a Pat's Giveaway and it never appeared... :-(
However, if you want to just make me a winner in the current Erikson GotM contest, I can forget all about the Friedman contest win... ;-)
I've heard that this book has a new foreword by the author but, erm, it doesn't. I know Erikson wrote one, but all of the copies I've seen with the new cover don't have a new foreword or afterword everything. Just exactly the same text as the original printing, right down to the spoiler chapter for Deadhouse Gates at the end. Maybe it's going to be added in the next printing or something?
Grrr... I just bought this one LAST WEEK with the crap cover. Just who is that guy on that cover supposed to BE anyway?
Bummer. Thanks al...
Wedge: Shit man, you should have told me this months ago. I never see the prize copies, for the publisher ships them directly to the winners. Let me see if I can get them to send you another one, as yours was probably lost in the mail.
And the new foreword will appear in the "reissue," which is a new printing with a bargain price of 3.99 pounds.
Thanks for another great contest Patrick. Good luck everyone!
If I don't win one I may have to get my hands on one of these new prints. I didn't know about the bargain price!
No worries, Pat... no worries.
I've got plenty on the reading stack. And the $3.99 price will definitely get me picking up a copy of GotM (unless I win this contest, that is).
The $3.99 price of A Game of Thrones back in 2005 is how I got to reading GRRM. Introductory pricing FTW! :-)
I think that's £3.99 in the UK, which is indeed very generous in the British marketplace (mass-market paperbacks are now £7.99, or about $16).
Pat will probably tell us if Tor are going to follow suit and promote Erikson in the US marketplace as heavily, but I doubt it, at least for now.
The only way to promote Erikson in the US would be making him rewrite GotM from scratch once the series is complete, so that it's better written and more accessible.
And then hire Raymond Swanland to redo the covers.
