Canadian cover art for R. Scott Bakker's THE JUDGING EYE

Kind of lame compared to the American and UK covers. . .

Put this novel on your Christmas list, for it will probably be one of the best fantasy books of 2009! I'm trying to convince Scott to grant me permission to post an excerpt, but he's a tough nut to crack!;-)

Lame? I like it better than the US or UK cover art.

Yeah much better, I really liked the covers for the first trilogy. Do I wait until the whole trilogy is out though? I'm sick of reading trilogies or series over the course of many years. I read the first one back to back and that was much more fun.

Did you get a copy of the book, or is that just an image file? It kind of looks like it's similar in style to the first trilogy, with the matte cover and glossy characters. I think it will be good if it maintains that style; that's what caught my eye to buy these books in the first place, after all.
