Patrick Rothfuss turns in the manuscript for THE WISE MAN'S FEAR

This from Rothfuss' latest blog post:

Lastly, for those of you that care about this sort of thing, I got the first draft of book two finished Manuscript printed and mailed to my editor two hours before I got on my plane. To say it was a bit of a rush doesn't really convey the frantic nature of the past two weeks of my life.

Which means that the tentative spring/summer 2010 release date for The Wise Man's Fear (Canada, USA, Europe) could well be within the realm of possibilities!:-)

Some people were speculating Winter 09, but I think you are right about it being Spring 2010.

I attended a signing session tonight in Amsterdam where the release date was of course discussed. He said he didn't know yet himself but that it would not be this year.

If you ever have the chance to go to one of these do it. It was great fun.

Good news. Let us hope Mr. Rothfuss has improved since his debut.

Hope that he has improved? The Name of the Wind might possibly be the best fantasy novel written in the past 5 years. This book was masterfully layed out. Any claim to thi sbeing a bad book is unwarranted.
