It's not really a sale, Amazon.co.uk has always heavily discounted books , these are pretty much the normal price that all the larger UK online retailers are selling these books at.

For as long as i can remember amazon has always claimed "40% off" "25% off pre order" etc etc, when it is simply the price point they intend to sell at , and the displayed discount is there to make people think they are getting an amazing deal.

Yeah , the displayed discount is just a marketing ploy, Amazon just display the RRP then their price, then claim 40% off !!!!111oneone!!

I see play is selling most the book named at the same price point, in fact to see its not actually a sale have a look at any book of any genre sold on Amazon.co.uk (by Amazon) every last one of them claims a discount from the RRP.

This isn't a sale, just Amazon.co.uk sells books cheaper than RRP here.

I take advantage of this sale all the time, but I never click your link Pat.

Im not really someone that supports alot of Amazon, I think alot of the time they are killing off other businesses offering super large discounts and at the end of the day, thats all the can do, is offer discounts on books and not the enjoyable experience of a bookstore.

I wish we could benefit from such discounts on our side of the Atlantic Ocean. No fair that the Brits are getting all the action and we're getting squat!

Bugger Amazon - www.bookdepository.co.uk - free worldwide delivery and prices cheaper than anywhere I've found yet.

www.bookdepository.co.uk also flavour the truth when they show the amazon price comparison and fail to point out Amazon offer a free delivery option as well.
