A second season has just been green-lighted by HBO! So we'll be getting an adaptation for A CLASH OF KINGS next year!

One thing I wished they'd had in Ep1 was all the kids getting the wolves. I guess it was referred to (what with Bran having Summer under the tower) but still.

Jebus, were you drunk when you watched the show? There's a whole segment dedicated to that, right after the deserter gets beheaded.

An entire scene about finding the Direwolves!

I am beyond geeked out over season 2 already being given the green light!

Anonymous, Pat's Fantasy Hotlist is about fantasy. It's mainly about books, but it's about FANTASY! This is a FANTASY SHOW! LOL. We're ALL excited about GoT the show and SoIaF the books

I loved the first episode and can't wait for number two. What a well done piece of film making.

Pat if the show makes it as far as Dance (5 or 6 seasons), have you thought of any big name actors to play you in your short, on-screen demise! Or will you be making your acting debut yourself? :)

is next year going to be clash of kings? Thought I had read somewhere that the first season would only be the first half of the books and if it got picked up for a second season, it would finish the first book. My money was on season 1 ending with Rob victorious at the whispering woods and being proclaimed the king in the North (just thinking outloud). Either way...its pretty awesome

are we sure season 2 is going to cover clash of kings? Thought i had read somewhere that the first season was going to end halfway through the first book (my bet is Rob being crowned King in the North). It'll be awesome either way

Season 1 is virtually all of GAME OF THRONES. A couple of characters have been dropped and some other ones have been delayed until Season 2 (mostly to do with the Tullys and Riverrun). At the same time, some characters and events from CLASH OF KINGS have been brought forwards into the end of Season 1 (mostly to do with Arya and Yoren's story and the people they meet).

Season 2 should be all of CLASH OF KINGS. STORM OF SWORDS will likely need two seasons to tell (possibly two shorter ones, since they'll need about 13-14 episodes minimum to do it) and then CROWS and DRAGONS will likely need to be stripped over two or two-and-a-bit seasons.

Is Bran dead in the show? (I know what happens in the books)
