Quote of the Day

I think of myself as a bad writer with big ideas, but I'd rather be that than a big writer with bad ideas--or ideas that have gone bad.

problem is - Elric books possess such appalling cover art (my opinion may not be the majority here - and i really generally try not to judge a book by its cover!) that i have never even built up the courage to try and find out if he is a big-idea riter or not! Cool quote though.

Keep up the awesomely great work Patrick. I've been visiting your site at least 3 times/week for at least 3-4 years. You've brought so many great books to my attention that I wouldn't have ever known of or read. Thanks for giving me Hal Duncan, Galen Beckett (I loved his admittedly sub-par Last Rune series as Mark Anthony, so I was thrilled to see he had new works out, and many others. Of course, I also blame you (in part) for my 128 to-be-read pile of books - it's not like you made me buy all them, you just put me on the trail of good stuff. :D So, keep up with the insightful and fair reviews. I appreciate it and all the other doodads you post.
