Finalized cover art for the Subpress limited edition of Erikson's GARDENS OF THE MOON

Now that's a gorgeous cover for the opening chapter of one of the best fantasy sagas ever!:-)

Can't wait to see the rest of the illustrations that will grace this Subterranean Press limited edition of Steven Erikson's fantasy debut. . . Michael Komarck has come up with fantastic stuff so far, and I'm persuaded that the rest will blow our minds away!

This is indeed a very nice cover. Kudos to the artist.

Wow, now that's a great cover. Makes me want to get that version too.

Now if they put art like THAT on the covers of the regular versions people wouldn't be put off like they are now with Gardens of the Moon. Rather they'd freakin grab that book up and be all "Holy shit this looks sweet!"

Man, the writing gays it up a bit. Should have been on the bottom in one line, not splashed like a romance novel.

Rake is definitely going to kick some ass in that picture.

Using covers to sell fantasy books stinks - which is why I come to a site like this. Gotta get the straight poop about the writing.

Nice cover art, but who's the artist?

I have been chuffing over on my own blog about getting more people to nominate for the Hugos, including Best Artist, but it's hard to do when one never knows who to blame for the good art, or who to blame for the bad stuff.

Whenever possible, I try to credit the artist when showing a cover.

George, it's the talented Michael Komarck, of course!

I credited him the first time I posted this terrific cover art, but you're right. I should include his name once again...:-)

Should have known from the style. Komarck is fabulous.

I hope he gets a Hugo nod this year.
